画里的这种兰花叫“卡多利亚”，是洋兰的一种。

这画我们采用工笔方式来呈现。工笔画用色瑰丽，笔触轻巧细致，挂起来看，真是赏心悦目。我们利用“矾纸”的特性一遍一遍地染，使层次厚重，增加它的可看性。

栽种这种兰花不需要什么照顾，只要把它种在蛇木上，悬吊在屋檐或树荫下，有空给它浇一点水，它就能活得好好的。如要赏花，加一些肥料，下一季就有您“好看”的了。

Orchid（洋兰）

The orchid in this painting is known as a "Cattleya."
I used the traditional realistic style to portray the orchid in this painting. This style involves the use of beautiful colors, and light and delicate brushstrokes. The result is very pleasing to the eye. I took advantage of the characteristics of alum paper to apply the thick layers that make the painting so interesting.
This kind of orchid doesn't require much special care. Just grow it on a fernwood trunk, suspend it under the eaves, or leave it in the shade. Water it when you feel like it. It will probably grow just fine. If you like its flowers, add a bit of fertilizer, and there will be some flowers next season.＠
