夜歸(彩墨)
夜幕低垂,一輪明月掛在樹稍,兩個夜歸人擎著手電筒踥踥地穿過樹林回家。屋簷窗櫺內透出一點點燈光,在沉寂的月夜裡,想必還有許多像這種倚閭望歸人的熱切燈光吧。
夜歸,真是很親切的題材呢。現在五六十歲曾經住過鄉下的人大概都能體會出這種感覺。
蘇東坡訪友,說:「庭下如積水空明,水中藻荇交橫。⋯⋯」想他訪友的時節一定不出夏季月中望日之夜,否則如何去體會月夜林相下的美景呢。
Going Home at Night
Darkness has settled in, and a bright moon hangs in the tree branches. Two people stumble home using flashlights to find their way through the woods. The gleam of lamplight shines out from under the eaves of the house in the still moonlight. I think that there probably have been many cases where people have left the light on to guide those coming home in the dark.
I think going home at night is a warm and appealing topic for a painting. Probably plenty of people now fifty or sixty years old who once lived in the countryside can identify with this feeling.
When visiting a friend, the poet Su Dongpo once said, “The duckweed in the pond drifts under the moonlight in the courtyard⋯” I think it was summertime, when the moon is low, when he visited his friend. Otherwise, how would he know the beauty of a moonlit night in the woods?@
