我常边画画边听西洋古典音乐，听久了，颇有一些感概：如莫札特、孟德尔颂、贝多芬、韩德尔这些音乐巨匠，五岁能作曲，六岁就发表什么“梅吕哀舞曲”，九岁完成第一首交响乐曲等等，真是令人拜服。说他们是音乐界的“神童”绝不为过。
但绘画就没有这回事了，还没听过哪一位艺术大师五岁、七岁就能画出什么留传千古的旷世钜作的，没有。都是成年之后才能产生出一些东西来，甚至是越老越好，越老越有内涵、越值得回味。

However, there is no such thing happened in painting. I have not heard any artist who is five years old or who can draw the unforgettable masterpieces that can leave for thousand years at the age of seven. Those famous painters are all adults can draw something good and even the older the better, the older the more content, the more memorable.@
