A: What are you going to give your family? 你要给你们家人什么？
B: I’m going to give my father a new watch. 我要给我爸爸一块新表。
A: Oh really? 噢， 是吗？
B: I’m going to give my mother a painting. 我要给我妈妈一张画。
A: What will you give your brother and sister? 你给你兄弟姐妹什么？
B: I’m going to give my brother a CD. 我给我弟弟/哥哥一张光碟
A: And your sister? 你妹妹/姐姐呢？
B: I’ll buy my sister a new dress. 我要给他买条新裙子。

“Christmas”耶诞节是美国最大的一个节日。西方人在这个节日里都要给朋友们和亲属们买礼物。许多人在耶诞节那天去教堂，因为耶诞节对基督徒来说是庆祝耶稣基督诞生的节日。每年的十二月二十五日是耶诞节。
语法：一般将来时
一般将来时有两种表达方法。上一课，我们只学了一种方法，就是把定”will”放在动词的前面。请看几个例子。
I will drink tea. 我要喝茶。
Next week Mike will visit his friend. 下周麦克要去拜访他的朋友。
Tomorrow we’ll watch a movie. 明天我们要看个电影。
On Saturday they’ll go to the park. 礼拜六我们将去公园。
第二种表达将来式的方法是用动词“to be”后面加“going to”然后加动词原形。
比如：
I’m going to drink tea. 我要喝茶。
Next week Mike is going to visit his friend. 下周麦克要去拜访他的朋友。
Tomorrow we are going to watch a movie. 明天我们要看个电影。
On Saturday they are going to go to the park. 礼拜六我们将去公园。
这两种将来式的构成方法有时的用法是一样的。有时是有区别的。如果是一件马上就要发生的事，用to be going to 的时候多一些。比如说That tree is going to fall down 那棵树要倒了(这说明那棵树马上就要倒了)。
That tree will fall down. 那棵树要倒了(这是说那棵树早晚有一天要倒)。

A: Tomorrow is Saint Patrick’s Day.
B: Oh really? What are you going to do?
A: I’m going to wear green pants and a green shirt.
B: Okay, I’ll wear green clothes too.
A: Good. I’m also going to go to the parade.
B: May I come too?
A: Sure.
B: Thanks. Is there anything else?
A: Yes, tomorrow I’ll tell you a story about leprechauns.
