圖片報導﹕明星彙聚的BEALE街音樂節

【大紀元5月2日訊】(大紀元記者魏毅報導) 美中南孟菲斯地區一年一度的“孟菲斯五月節”以三天的BEALE街音樂節拉開序幕﹐來自各地的樂隊﹑歌星和五萬余歌迷雲集孟城。

被稱為RAP巨星的NELLY以一碟“Country Grammar”暢銷九百萬張﹐第二張碟“Nellyville”更為他贏得兩項格來美獎。

如果你熟悉電影主題曲“I Will Remember You”﹐你一定知道通俗歌手Sarah McLachlan。今年是集歌手與歌詞作者于一身的Sarah McLachlan首次在孟菲斯BEALE街音樂節演出。

其他歌手和樂隊還有﹕首次亮相BEALE街音樂節的歌手Trey Anastasio屬于Phish’s樂隊﹔ 以一曲“Hard to Handle”成名並銷出多張白金唱片的Black Crowes樂隊﹐在全國巡迴展中特到孟菲斯一停﹔Staple Singers的領唱Mavis Staples女士從1969年就出名﹐1999年被收入“搖滾名人館” 並獲得格來美協會Staple Singers終生成就獎﹔來自夏威宜的Jack Johnson從著名沖浪運動員一舉轉業成為搖滾明星﹐這是第二次到孟城演出。

參加表演的還有2005年HANDY獎提名人﹑藍調傳奇的Guitar Shorty﹐他是Evidence唱片公司的簽約吉他演員﹔Los Lonely Boys“寂寞男孩”樂隊由來自西德克薩斯州小鎮的三兄弟組成﹐他們年齡在21歲到25歲之間﹐今年初以一曲“Heaven” 獲格來美獎﹔The Killers樂隊被認為是最好的搖滾樂隊之一﹐去年夏天以一曲“Somebody Told Me”震動通俗樂壇﹔來自費城的數來寶(RAP)樂隊The Roots被認為是該行業最好的樂隊﹔The Wallflowers樂隊1998年獲得格來美最佳搖滾歌曲和最佳搖滾表演獎﹐在90年代與其他樂隊一起共同復興了“根源搖滾”（Roots Rock）。
