许其正：越来越亮

傍晚，从荣总六楼窗口外望

石牌和台北尽入眼里

楼房一幢幢矗立

车辆不停，络绎于途

随着时间一分一秒地过去

夜暮紧跟着黄昏之后徐徐降临

罩覆得四处越来越黑暗

令人心里不宁，忧烦交扰

难道这世界

已被夜黑全盘入侵

对所有生灵肆虐？

病痛无法痊愈？悲苦不去？

所幸灯盏渐渐在楼房和车辆间亮起

冲破重重夜幕

照穿层层黑暗

越来越亮

那是必然的律则

夜尽管深吧

天尽管黑吧

灯会发出越来越亮的光

围墙没能困住翅膀

谁在乎艰难困顿呢？

只要有灯在，我坚信

光明一定会胜过黑暗

按：2010年7月15日，作者在台北医院作摄护腺增生刮除手术，却于这年1月15日回诊时，由超音波片子看到一大片增生物未被刮除。医师告以此乃死角，刮不到，遂生信心危机，乃转往台北荣总。经多次门诊，于4月5日住院作切片检查，7日出院，以为再次手术根据。4月6日傍晚从荣总六楼窗口外望有感，遂得此诗。

Brighter and Brighter　 Hsu ChiCheng

In the evening, looking out of the window of Taipei Veterans General Hospital on the sixth floor

Shipai and Taipei are in the sight

One after another building rise high

Vehicles flowing, en route

As seconds and minutes elapse

Nightfall slowly falls following the steps of dusk

All around it turns darker and darker

Which brings disquietude and uneasiness

Is that the world

Has been invaded by the dark night

Full fury is released against all creatures?

Pain can not be cured? Sorrow haunts?

Happily lamps light up between buildings and vehicles

Breaking through night curtains after night curtains

Illuminating through darkness after darkness

Brighter and brighter

This is an inevitable rule

Let the night be deep

Let the sky be dark

The lamps are to produce brighter and brighter light

Enclosing walls fail to enclose wings

Who care about hardships and difficulties?

So long as there are lamps, I believe

Brightness is to prevail over darkness

Note: On July 15 of 2010, I had an operation at Taipei Hospital, and returned to the hospital for re-checking on January 15 of that year, and found the operation not successful. When the doctor told me a further operation may not cure it, I almost lost my belief. Then I was transferred to Taipei Veterans General Hospital where, after repeated diagnosis, I was cured on April 5, for the base of the operation again, and discharged out of hospital on April 7. In the evening of April 6, when I looked out of the window on the sixth floor of Taipei Veterans General Hospital, I felt inspired, hence the poem. @
