Souls Awakened

One night, a Beijing fellow practitioner, Cao, suddenly called me and said he needed my help urgently.

Upon getting in a taxi, I struck up a conversation with the driver.

“The traffic in Beijing is really heavy.”

“mm…” The middle-aged driver was expressionless.

“There weren’t so many vehicles when I was a university student in Beijing.”

“Which university did you attend?”

“Beijing International Studies University.”

“…”

“Could you guess why I came to Beijing now?”

“Why?”

“I’m a Falun Gong practitioner. I’ve come to Beijing to petition for Falun Gong, because the government is persecuting Falun Gong.”

“If you go on talking, I’ll drive you to the police station.”

“If you want to drive me to the police station, go ahead. But what I’m telling you is true – true stories taking place in this country. I’m not slandering the CCP; I’m just telling you the truth you can’t know through the state-owned media. I’m talking to you from the bottom of my heart, sir.”

The driver took a look at me and burst into a smile, “I feel you Falun Gong practitioners are really miraculous! I feel you are pretty miraculous too! ”

I began telling him how Dafa had saved me.

I genuinely shared with him my life story without taking any notice of whether he was driving me to a police station.

While listening, he suddenly smiled genuinely, “A touching story!” And then he exclaimed, “Gosh! I was so attracted by your talking I just turned onto a wrong highway! I’m so sorry! I’m really sorry!”

He apologized repeatedly, his attitude having become much better than when I got in the taxi twenty minutes earlier.
