我捧了一束盛開的菊花

興沖沖地進辦公室

彷彿捧了陶淵明

和他悠然看見的那一座南山

給供養在花瓶裡後

我便埋頭在諸多案牘間

不意才一剎那

抬頭一看

猛然發覺那束菊花

已然枯萎殆盡

唉，那束菊花……

I hold with both hands a bunch of blooming chrysanthemums

And breeze into my office

Like I were holding the hermit Tao Yuanming

And his Southern Hill at leisure covered with chrysanthemums

After inserting the bunch into a vase

I bury myself into piles of documents

Accidentally

I raise my eyes toward it

To find them

Withered

Alas, the bunch of chrysanthemums …
