【大纪元2017年08月28日讯】（大纪元记者林南综合报导）哈维飓风自周五（25日）晚登陆德州后，带来灾难性洪水，给德州部分地区造成严重破坏。
哈维飓风是美国十多年来最严重的一次暴风雨袭击，风暴摧毁了家园，切断电力供应，迫使成千上万的居民撤离淹水区。
休斯顿电视台KHOU-TV的工作人员27日正在现场报导洪水灾情，然而洪水开始流入大楼，15分钟水涨1英尺。工作人员被迫撤到二楼，最后不得不撤离大楼。
美联社报导说，有近900万人收到洪水警告。救援人员表示，他们收到太多的911求救呼叫，但只能优先考虑那些生死攸关的案例。
当记者问休斯顿市长特纳（Sylvester Turner）为什么没有在国家气象局发出警告后下令民众撤离，特纳说道：“如果你认为现在的情况不好，你下令撤离，你正在创造一场噩梦。”
他说：“最好的办法是让人留在家中。”
一些居民被迫爬上他们的阁楼，以躲避上升的淹水。KTRK电视报导说，一个十口人的家庭周日在南休斯顿被救出。
国家气象局劝告人们到屋顶上寻求庇护，而不是去阁楼，以避免被水所困。
