【大纪元2012年10月29日讯】大纪元新闻集团在澳大利亚南澳成立分社，发行阿德雷德版周报，首刊将于10月26日免费发行，发行量每周5千份，25个发行点覆盖阿德雷德主要华人聚居地区，外加送报至近200家中餐馆和华人商店，让南澳有华人的地方就有大纪元。这是《大纪元时报》继悉尼、墨尔本、布里斯本、柏斯之后，在澳洲营运的第五家分社。
阿德雷德分社社长张必光先生说：“作为大纪元报系的新成员，阿德雷德大纪元时报将一如既往秉承正义、独立的精神，公正报导时事，并提供读者更多与自己生活相关的本地信息，帮助大家尽快融入当地主流社会。”张先生坚持服务于大纪元时报11年，他说：“从99年开始，海外媒体报导中国大陆方面的新闻在慢慢地变化，对于中国的消息，海外的华人几乎只能听到一个声音，特别是对一些敏感话题如对人权、信仰的迫害，这方面的报导基本上就没有了。”
为了让阿德雷德的华人有机会了解中国的真实情况，张先生他们购买墨尔本版大纪元报，义务把报纸分发到阿德雷德一些商铺、餐馆、图书馆和购物中心。大纪元时报是2003年全球首先报导萨斯病疫情的媒体，领先全球三年关注毒奶事件，首家对Google退出中国等重大事件作出报导，使大纪元很快晋升为世界级主流媒体，特别是今年王立军事件以后，大纪元对中国政局动荡的准确预测和分析报导，使大纪元成为世界中文媒体报导中国局势的风向标。
在全球媒体日益萎缩、纷纷裁员甚至停刊的大环境下，大纪元逆流而上，一枝独秀。目前，大纪元时报共有19个语种，全球近40家分社，记者站遍布60多个国家和地区。大纪元时报的发行量一路飘升，阿德雷德的大纪元读者人数也不断攀升。阿德雷德大纪元时报也在此时顺势而立，应时而生。阿德雷德现在每周发放5千份中文报，覆盖阿德雷德市区及周围地区，南及Flinders、Woodcroft，东到Marden，西至West Lake，北达 Salisbury 。
张先生表示此次创办阿德雷德版，就是为了更好地服务于当地华人。“我们希望大家能看到一些真实的消息。除了国际上的、中国大陆的、还有香港、台湾发生的新闻外，我们也希望把本地发生的一些与华人有关的事情告诉他们，这么多年，大纪元时报已经成了当地华人生活的一部分，阿德雷德大纪元时报也已开通当地广告业务。”他最后还表示：“为了更好地服务于读者，恳请读者提出宝贵意见。并借此机会感谢读者们的支持与鼓励。”
