【大纪元2012年05月25日讯】（大纪元记者高强达拉斯编译报导）达拉斯地区有几十所高中学校在《新闻周刊》和《华盛顿邮报》最近公布的排名中榜上有名。其中有27所达福地区的高中学校入围《新闻周刊》的全美1,000所最佳高中学校的名单，另外在《华盛顿邮报》的全美”最具挑战性的高中”名单中，则有42所达拉斯地区学校上榜。
其中有两所达拉斯独立学区的高中学校在两个排名中均名列前茅，这两所学校分别是“人才和天才学校”(School for the Talented and Gifted)和科学与工程学校(School for Science and Engineering)。两所学校在每个名单中均进入前十名之内。
“人才和天才学校”在《新闻周刊》的学校名单中连续第二年排名第二，该学校自2006年以来每年都被该杂志评为最佳高中学校之一，每年均排在第一或第二位。该学校在《华盛顿邮报》的排名中则名列第六。
“科学与工程学校”在《新闻周刊》的排名中名列第四，在《华盛顿邮报》的排名名单中则排第三位。
