許其正：香蕉莖幹的啟示

父親在屋後種植了一片香蕉

從小我就對它的莖幹好奇

認為那是奇蹟

它的莖幹是由葉子構成的

老葉舊葉在外層層包裹著

包裹著在內裡的層層嫩葉新葉

一層層，緊緊包裹著

堅實到可以支撐整棵樹

即使長出了幾十斤的香蕉果實

還是不彎不折

那麼柔軟的葉子竟有這麼大的力量

如何不讓人驚奇？

後來父親採果，給予砍斷

我才發現它之如此堅韌

主要是有絲線貫穿其間

那些絲線的力量發揮了極大的作用

那些絲線果真堅韌，怎麼拉都拉不斷

我想了又想，想到現在

才終於想通，那是不盡的

Father has planted a patch of banana behind the house

Someday when Father picks fruit and breaks it

I find that it is so tough and pliable
