美國阿肯色州男子羅伯特·史密斯（Robert Smith）在臉書分享了這樣一份特別的聖誕禮物——那是兒子翻唱奶奶30年前寫的歌曲的錄音。在平安夜那天，羅伯特將CD播放機擺在了媽媽面前，讓她按一下播放鍵。若說老人家對這份禮物很驚喜，還無法形容她聽到孫子（羅伯特的兒子）演唱她的舊作時的反應。
羅伯特寫道：「她的反應是無價的。」
這還要從一年前的聖誕節說起，羅伯特帶兒子特拉維斯（Travis Ryan Smith）去奶奶湯米（Tommie Sue Wilkey）家過節時，聽到了她寫的一首鄉村歌曲。歌曲乃是老人30年前所作，那時她將自己的演唱灌製了錄音帶。
「我的祖母寫了一個很棒的歌，她需要的就是有人給唱出來！」特拉維斯在Facebook上寫道。他是一位鄉村音樂唱作人，近段時間正在玩錄音。
還差幾週就是2017年聖誕節，爸爸羅伯特忽然冒出一個想法：特拉維斯會願意演唱奶奶寫的這首歌嗎？他隨即向兒子提出了建議。事實證明，學唱和錄音的過程讓小音樂家特別開心。
特拉維斯一拿到奶奶這首《在天上垂釣》（Fishing in the Sky）的歌詞，就開始著手工作了。
節日來臨之際，他終於及時做好了送給奶奶的完美聖誕禮物。
當平安夜到來，老人坐在自家沙發上聽到兒孫帶來的錄音，感動得淚水漣漣……
歌曲還沒播放幾秒鐘，她就聽出來了。她驚得嘴巴大張，臉上露出燦爛的笑容。
而當她聽到孫子唱出第一句歌詞——「我曾聽說黃金的街道」，她失聲大叫，雙手立刻摀住了臉龐。CD機所播放的歌曲正是她多年前寫的那一首——《在天上垂釣》。
聽著自己的歌，湯米無法掩飾內心的激動：30年前她在盒式磁帶上錄製的歌曲，而今獲得了新的生命。4分鐘的影片裡，她也揮著手臂一起唱起來。
羅伯特於當日將影片上傳臉書，並寫道：「她（媽媽）的反應是無價的。」迄今，已有數百萬網友聽到了這首淒婉纏綿的鄉村歌曲、10萬多位網友感動點讚；一波波的熱情留言，對祖孫三代又是一份暖心大禮。
特拉維斯也將配加歌詞版本上傳到了他個人的YouTube頻道。
