這則笑話的單字都很簡單，值得提醒讀者的是，blue jeans 這個詞是牛仔褲的意思，一定是複數形。

另外在英文修辭方面，穿著形態在英文裡經常用「後位修飾」的表達方式，但在中文裡完全沒有後位修飾。例如「長髮女郎」是a girl with long hair, 用介係詞片語放在名詞的後面作修飾；而 「金髮美女」的英文則是 A beautiful girl with golden hair，這裡前位、後位修飾就都有了，beautiful girl屬形容詞的前位修飾，with golden hair則是置於girl 之後的後位修飾了。
