(大紀元新澤西訊)自1984年起，全國城鎮守望協會（National Association of Town Watch，NATW)在全美範圍內主辦「National Night Out」活動。目的是加強警察等執法部門與社區的聯繫，威懾和預防犯罪行為。據統計，每年有近3700萬人參與這項活動，例如，去年South Brunswick有近6000人參與，而Piscataway有近3200人參與。在每年新澤西的「National Night Out」活動現場，會提供免費的熱狗、飲料、薯片、冰淇淋以及爆玉米花等食品，在一些城鎮警方會提供警用裝備、消防或急救設備供大眾參觀，有的城鎮甚至會有FBI、海岸警衛隊、特勤局的代表參與。今年的「National Night Out」活動，大部分城鎮選擇在8月6日（星期二）的傍晚。以下是新州部分城鎮的活動時間與地點。更多城鎮活動信息請查閱：
