看笑话学英语：“I”开头的句子

Teacher: Tell me a sentence that starts with an "I".
老师：告诉我一个句子，是以"I"开头

Student: I is the....
学生：I is the 我是…

Teacher: Stop! Never put 'is' after an "I". Always put 'am' after an "I".
老师：停下来，不要把'is'放在"I"之后。"I"之后一定是用'am'

Student: OK. “I” am the ninth letter of the alphabet.
学生：好的。I 是字母中第九个字母！

I 如果当作“我”，那是第一人称，所以后面要接am, 过去式则用was。

I 如果当作第9个英文字母I，那就是一个普通名词，所以后面的动词得用is才行。所以在最后一句中，学生应该回答：“I” is the ninth letter of the alphabet.
