【摄影赛作品】Let’s Dance

This picture was taken at Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.

I chose this picture because it caught a spontaneous moment in a street, a mixture of dancing, street music, people who stopped by to enjoy the music, the dancing and the shade.

This photo contains much of the daily life ingredients of the life in Cuba: the combination of joy of life, music and people, together with the less bright side of life – the poverty, shortage. but you have to “resolver”- to find the best solution to carry on.

The composition is base on a triangle which consist of the dancing couple, as first vertex, full of energy of movement in the sun, through the line which consist of the percussion players in the shade to the women in white shirt who wiping her forehead with her hand, standing in the shade, as second, upper vertex and from her, through the standing man in white shirt at the left and down to the man in the wheel-chair.

I like the contrasts in this photo, between the dancing couple in the sun and the viewers, standing steel in the shade, and the pinching contrast between the dancer and the man in the wheel-chair, as the dancers seems dancing with him.(http://www.dajiyuan.com)
