紫荊（工筆）
有時到鄉間去散步閒走，偶爾會被一片艷麗的「紫」吸引住，原來路邊的羊蹄甲正熱烈的開著紫色的花呢。
「君家有慶紫雲垂」，雖然講的是紫藤，但不管是紫藤還是羊蹄甲，花朵盛開時，如煙似霧，如雲似雰的感覺是相同的。在這幅畫中，為了增加氛圍，在主景後面也做渲染，使畫面紫紅一片，看起來很有張力。
這幅羊蹄甲我們用「工筆」方式來呈現。所謂工筆畫，就是工細精緻的畫，只適用「熟紙」來畫（熟紙就是礬紙，是相對於「生紙」而言的），講求慢慢「洗」出來的漸層效果。而且也常使用比較瑰麗的色彩來表現，以達到裝飾的趣味。
Redbud/fine brush painting
I sometimes go walking in the countryside to amuse myself. It sometimes happens that a patch of colorful purple sometimes attracts my attention, and it turns out to be a violet redbud in vigorous bloom.
Although the verse “Joyful violet clouds hang down by your house” refers to wisteria, the flowers of both wisteria and redbud hang down like mist, and seeing them is like seeing a colored cloud. In this painting, I have done some shading behind the main scene in order to increase the atmosphere, and the blended red and violet seem to give it great tension.
This painting of redbuds features what we refer to as “fine brush painting.” So-called fine brush painting involves fine, painstaking strokes, and is only suitable for painting on “mature paper” (alum paper—contrasts with so-called “fresh paper”). Fine brush painting also involves the use of gradual washes to give a layered effect. In addition, paintings of this type often contain extraordinarily beautiful colors, which ensure a highly decorative effect. ＠
