【大紀元5月25日訊】
有個農夫正在耕田，忽看到一頭野兔飛奔跑過。野兔撞到一棵大樹上，斷頸而死。
農夫不勞而獲，十分高興，拾了野兔回家烹調。
從此，農夫不願再拿起鋤頭，只是整天坐在大樹下，耐心等第二頭野兔的來臨。
可是第二頭野兔始終沒有出現，但農夫卻成了國人的笑柄。
The Wait For The Hare
A farmer was ploughing the fields one day when he saw a hare running wildly. The hare ran into a tree, broke its neck, and died.
The farmer happily reaped without sowing and took the hare home for dinner. Since then, he refused to pick up his hoe again. Instead, he sat beneath the tree and waited patiently for a second hare to come.
But a second hare never came his way. Rather, he became the laughing-stuck of the whole state.
