Members of Indonesia’s ethnic Chinese community are ringing in the Year of the Tiger. At one mall in Jakarta, they held an event they call “I Love Chinese New Year.” The word “love” was used because New Year’s Day also happened to be Valentine’s Day.

Their performances include drama, traditional Chinese singing and dancing.

Hundreds of red envelopes, a ceremonial gift during Chinese New Year, as well as chocolate were given to the people who attend.
