【大纪元2016年07月07日讯】（大纪元记者凌妃编译报导）网际网路发达与新科技发明，已造成一些职业面临威胁，这些工作在未来将渐渐被科技取代进或消失。美国劳工统计局（U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics，BLS）预测，和2014年相比，2024年邮政相关职务将减少28%，约少了13.6万个职缺。
在美国劳工统计局的前15个即将萎缩或消失的职业排行列表中，有4种是和邮务相关的工作。其实，除了邮务相关的工作之外，还有一些职业的工作机会也渐渐萎缩，其中传统的蒸汽火车头加碳员、车辆电子设备安装与维修员和电话操作员是消失速度最快的前三名。

1. 蒸汽火车头加碳员（Locomotive firers）
