　　（餐館）收碗雜工

　　為甚麼把在餐館收盤碗做雜工的人稱為「bus boy」呢？ 原來，「bus」 這個字是拉丁字「omnibus」 的縮寫，意思是「全包，全能」。在餐館做雜工的人一般是甚麼雜活都要做，因此被稱為 「bus boy」， 女工自然就被稱作 「bus girl」 了。
