我想大家都熟悉fight個詞。它的意思是鬥爭、搏鬥或者奮鬥。你也許還聽過這樣一個諺語: he who fights and runs away will live to fight another day。這個諺語顯然是說：生活中鬥爭是無可避免的。既然人生本是一場搏鬥，fight這個詞組成的習慣用語當然就特別多。我們從今天開始要選幾個常用的一一介紹。第一個是：fight tooth and nail。Fight tooth and nail其實是fight with teeth and nails這個習慣用語的簡略形式。大家可能已經知道tooth是牙齒，nail是指甲。要是打架的時候又咬又抓的，那可真是使盡渾身解數的一場惡鬥。
